 | Welcome to Programs for Exceptional People! |

Programs for Exceptional People (PEP) was founded in 1995 and has provided quality services to individuals with developmental disabilities since 1996. PEP is a Qualified Provider through the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN). PEP’s philosophy is based on the principles of inclusion, initialization, and the promotion of independence. Our approach to service delivery is person-centered and strengths-based.
We are committed to person-centered planning and service delivery. Program participants, along with their chosen Circle of Support, the people in their lives whom they identify as meaningful, meet at least annually to discuss presenting needs and desires, which are then translated into personal objectives. PEP offers an array of programs through which the specified objectives are addressed. All services are meant to increase independence and self-sufficiency, to promote self-determination and optimum quality of life, and to prevent regression and loss of functioning ability.
