| ![]() A Qualified Provider through South Carolina Disabilities and Special Needs Department, Programs for Exceptional People (PEP) is the only disabilities and special needs provider with facilities located in Southern Beaufort County. PEP is a certified 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. Our service programs provide training to individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities so participants can improve, acquire, and increase self-help skills, employment skills, adaptive living skills, and socialization skills. At Programs for Exceptional People, our driving mission is to increase our participants’ overall quality of life. Through community involvement and the effective leadership of highly trained volunteers and staff, PEP continues to fulfill its mission by providing our group members the opportunity to realize that they are productive and worthwhile members of their community. The individuals we serve rely on the committment and concern of outstanding community members, foundations and service organizations, and businesses to make their imaginings of a better life possible. According to audited financial statements for the recent fiscal years, PEP’s economic status is sound and worthy of investment. To sustain quality programs, PEP’s budget requires that 60% of funding be achieved through grant writing, successful special events, corporate and civic sponsorship, and individual donations. PEP has nurtured relationships with many local businesses, groups, and individuals and therefore, we are confident in our ability to sustain our services, operating facility, and other assets. As a result of the program’s commitment to stakeholders, the staff and Board of Directors expect that PEP will continue to enhance and expand services. Your generosity will go a long way in serving our PEP Participants. Please contact us for details on how you can support PEP's mission. | |||||||||||
