Last week our trailer containing all of our lawn care business equipment as well as a gas grill was stolen. Casual Living right here in Bluffton heard about what happened on WSAV and stepped up to the plate and donated a brand new grill! Pictured are Tim Thayer-Director of Operations here at PEP, Nancy Sulek, Senior Director of Development at PEP and Craig Bright from Casual Living. We continue to be be overwhelmed with the generosity of others during this time. Thank you all!

We received a very generous donation from the Wexford Plantation Charitable Foundation to help PEP cover emergency expenses during this COVID crisis. Pictured in the photo are Terry Baehr from the foundation and Nancy Sulek, our Senior Director of Development here at PEP

"Promoting independence, social interaction, and employment opportunities for adults who live with intellectual disabilities."

Programs for Exceptional People (PEP) has been serving the Lowcountry for 23 years. As a licensed 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, our mission is to promote independence, social interaction and employment opportunities for adults who live with intellectual disabilities.

We are a licensed adult activity center serving adults with intellectual disabilities within Beaufort and Jasper Counties.

Our programs include contracted work opportunities within the local community for members to learn and develop skills under the instruction of trained staff vocational instructors. We also have three micro-businesses operated by members and staff: PEP Ceramics and PEP Lawn Care.

Our on-site vocational training includes cooking, reading, computer lab, exercise, safety, and hygiene.

We can be seen out and about in the communities of Bluffton and Hilton Head Island. We take frequent trips to the parks and bowling at Station 300. Our members are active in Special Olympics bowling, track and field, tennis and basketball.

We are  also at the Bluffton Farmers Market on Thursdays from  1 - 6 PM.

Come see our tent and look at our member made pottery pieces as well as a variety of crafts.

Let your loved one experience everything PEP has to offer and watch them thrive through our programs and services!
